Tom Rohr and Kathryn Finnerty established Pleasant Hill Pottery in August of 2000. Nestled on 10 beautiful acres at the base of Mount Pisgah State Park the pottery houses Kathryn's studio, Tom's studio and kiln area in the renovated pole barn, plus a visiting artist/apprentice studio in the geodesic dome overlooking the pond. In addition to viewing current examples of their work in the Gallery Showroom, visitors can stroll the grounds and even climb inside the wood kilns.

Kathryn Finnerty's use of terracotta clay and colorful glazes takes her historical European influenced techniques to new levels when applied to her personal and unique forms. Vessels for flower arranging, serving platters, tea sets and many other innovative pieces can be found in the showroom.

Tom Rohr uses a wood-burning kiln at Pleasant Hill Pottery to produce a broad range of functional pots for daily use. From cups, plates & bowls, to bottles and jugs for the home-brewers and wine -makers, Tom's pots can find a comfortable spot in any home.
